the worst of it was the yard, i mean, no one watered it, took care of it, mowed it... nothing for a long time. we have tried our hardest to get our yard looking good, but it not only takes a green thumb, but some serious money, time, and dedication. our backyard was 1/3 fenced, and not wanting.. or having the resources to spend lots and lots of money, scott made it his goal to find the rest of our backyard fencing on ksl.com.
he did just that.
i was so surprised and shocked how much we saved and how good it looks! after pricing out a bid to finish the fence in our backyard and adding up how much we spent on fencing and cement, we saved ourselves almost 3,000! goodness, marrying a handyman was a good move :)
this is looking west before we put the fence in...
see, the yard totally needs some lovin'... we're working on that part...
you can see in the corner there that our back fence is up... man, i was really bad at documenting this...
ah, okay, so now I am totally out of order/too lazy to go back and rearrange the pictures, but here is the back fence in the works... aaaaand Scott picking apples from our apple tree
he did the almost the whole project by himself! such a perfect husband!
This is scott and our awesome neighbor - Earl finishing off the last pieces! we can finally let this crazy girl run free! (which is obviously needed)
not only did Scott finish the fence, but he managed to surprise me one day with a "new to us" patio set! we had lots of bbq's this summer and it was perfect!
Thanks for all your hardwork Scott, it looks awesome!
