Karter's first Easter was a bit of a rough one. This poor little guy went through his second bout with Croup the weekend of Easter. He managed to give us a cute grin with his rosy red cheeks while wearing his cute new Easter Pajamas - i totally couldn't help myself, I think they are so cute!
This was the same weekend that Karter decided to start sleeping on his tummy - about giving me a heart attack. but, man, this kid loves to sleep on his tummy, and comes by it honestly, Scott and I are both tummy sleepers.
poor little sicky... if you look by his binky and his mouth you will see two huge drool puddles.
buuuut, let's focus on how cute the little cottontail on his bum is :)
We opted not to go to Church since he was so sick - I was so sad! I had the cutest little Easter outfit and everything for him. We wanted to be there, but he was pretty sick in the morning (we have 9am church) that and we figured most parents wouldn't like it too much if we brought a croupy baby to church
I have a sad video of him napping in the morning, he is snoring like a bear
anyway, by afternoon he perked up a little bit and we decided to see how he would do out and about.
We headed over to the Nunley's, but didn't stay long since there were other babies over there. We did manage to get a picture of some cute baby goats though!! Awww!
We then went over to my Grandma's - luckily he is the youngest by a long shot, so we weren't especially worried about spreading Croup.
My parents spoiled us all with Easter baskets
Karter spent some quality time with Aunt Debbie

and then it was off to search for eggs outside!
Thanks Grandma Sandy for always making this such a fun tradition. We were so glad we were able to come!
This Easter was extra special - I loved the social media blitz that the Church did and this video was amazing!
it really all is because of him.
Because of him...
i have a wonderful life
a loving husband
a fabulous community i live in
a supportive loving family
a job that helps me provide for my family
the opportunity to be a mom
among many other things...
but that last one, really strikes me.
i love this little goober so much. because of him, my Karter chose me to care for him during his time on earth, how blessed are Scott and I?
Life is good
Happy Easter!
