This little paradise has been Scott's "honey hole" since he was a kid, he has grown up hunting there, fishing there, camping there.. you name it!

I too have grown to love this place! I first went there with this sweet girl's family, and now get to enjoy many amazing summers and fall's up there with my sweet husband and his great family!
We went up last week and did some serious fishing and "hunting" it was more of a hike for me, while Scott scouted for deer. I even put on one of his camo shirts to help "blend in"
The fishing was really fun, it has been a really long time since i have caught a fish.. i think it was like 4 years ago, and that was my first fish. anyway, Scott got me a pink & black pole for Christmas last year and we got some good use out of it this year.
We caught 7 fish between the two of us! it was so fun to reel one in, but then after we unhooked them.. and they laid their flopping, my Blue personality kicked in and I immediately felt bad! I think I apologized to every fish about 10 times over.. i felt bad letting them "drown" in air. but as Scott has always pointed out.. we will eat them, we aren't just catching them and murdering them... :)
Okay, i felt a little better after that.
Cleaning/Gutting them... total different story.. i did not do it myself, nor do i ever plan on gutting a fish... thats why i married me an outdoorsman... it was so gross! i know i know, i worked in a hospital... but still, we weren't gutting people!! eww!
so, dinner this week.. Fish! :)
i'm sorry little fish... i really am
We went on our hunt/hike to Scott's favorite place to hunt.. i would tell you the name of the canyon, but then i'd have to kill ya... (ya know, hunters and their territories...)
Scott did a lot of this...
while i did a lot of this....
Really, it is so beautiful up there though! I Love it!!
i found lots of flowers that i plan on transplanting next spring down to my house

(thats not illegal, right?)
i LOVE these reddish-pink ones
and these ones...
where's Scotty?? oh thats right, you can't see him, all decked out in camo and all!
i am pretty sure (now that i look at this picture) that the bow is upside down...
thanks for the heads up Scott...
no biggie, just 45lbs of weight to pull back
he was so thrilled taking his wife hunting :)
good thing we didn't see anything, i might have cried (since i had such a hard time with the fish and all... man this was a blue weekend....)
That's right, our biggest fish was caught by me!
so beautiful!
one day, i will get this picture blown up and frame it in our house!
what can i say? we love FAIRVIEW!
